Return on Capital (ROC)

Return on capital measures the overall return considering all debts, in addition to using the value of ownership equity.  See Return on Equity (ROE).

Formula: 
Return on equity (ROC) = Net Income in a year / (Shareholders’ equity + Debt)
Example:
$1000 Net Income / ($100 Invested + $100 loan) = 5% ROC
